24/7 - Being a member of God's covenant congregation

That was the topic of the youth weekend I and 5 others well I suppose there was 6 of us, although not everyone actually helped, were responsible for organising over the last weekend. A LOT of work was involved but everything went well - I haven't heard otherwise anyway.

The topic was about what it means to be a member of the Church that we have been placed in. As a member of a congregation and as a member of a church we are all the body of Christ (Romans 12). And because we are all a part of that body we have a responsibility towards the other members of the Church family. Just like a hand or a foot doesn't work on it's own, we are all members of the church, members of a congregation, members of a family and we have to work together and support each other. Just like one body is made of many parts but all are one, we are all united together as the body of Christ (1 Cor 12).

On top of wonderful speeches we had some great activities, not the least of which was a country fair which involved a photo booth and a bucking bull and a car rally with a difference in which the idea was to get people involved more in the congregation. I think that everything went well. We can be thankful that everything went smoothly and everyone could have a good time.

On top of that a lot of good memories could be made.... especially on the Friday night.
